Alessandro Dell’Acqua was born in Naples in 1962 and graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Naples. At the age of 23, he was appointed as the new Creative Director of Genny.
In March 1996, Alessandro Dell’Acqua debuted with his first eponymous collection during Milan Fashion Week. The collection immediately established the worldwide reputation for his sensual and feminine cuts combined with the use of high-quality fabrics. The year 2010 was a cornerstone for his career.
Always known as the leader of the latest Italian fashion scene, he launched his own first line “N°21 (numero ventuno)” in 2010. The distinctive characteristics of his work, such as sharp tailoring, unique sensuality and femininity, still play an important role in his designs. On top of that, he values more sporty and wearable essences to heighten the brand. It surely is the brand that the most treasured genius in the Italian history established and it will never stop pursuing new esthetic frontiers.
